LED Light for you - The network for LED lighting technology

LED Light for you (LLFY) is the name of the solution for efficient and economical LED lighting projects. For the last two years the network has successfully combined the know-how and powers of innovation of specialists in the fields of optics, thermal management and electronics. It offers luminaire manufacturers, lighting planners and other LED users concentrated technical know-how and support in designing, planning and implementing LED lighting systems for general lighting.

The LLFY network, which was set up in 2006, combines the skills of more than 60 certified partners at more than 90 locations worldwide. Close networking and cooperation ensures that ideas generated by customers can be converted into marketable lighting solutions more quickly and more efficiently. That applies equally to standard and specific LED solutions. “LED Light for you is a real success story”, said Rüdiger Müller, CEO of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors GmbH. “It has enabled a large number of very different innovative projects to be commissioned. These range from energy-efficient street lighting to highly effective façade lighting, for example with the high-power OSTAR and DRAGON LED platforms from OSRAM.”

LEDs are also setting new trends in indoor lighting. The Chinese luminaire manufacturer SoftRay for example has developed a recessed ceiling spotlight in cooperation with LLFY partners in Taiwan, Finland and Germany. This spotlight is equipped with the high-brightness OSTAR Lighting LED from OSRAM which offers an output of 1000 lumen. “With the aid of LED Light for you we have been able to combine our competence with the skills of our worldwide partners to achieve perfect results. We designed the luminaire, OSRAM provided the light source, Coolermaster was responsible for the customer-specific heat sink and LEDIL produced the optical lens”, added George Tang, CEO of SoftRay.

Maximum quality and service: strict certification process for LLFY

LLFY partners are carefully selected to ensure the highest levels of quality and service. They have to go through a strict certification process with annual checks. “We place great emphasis on active partnerships that offer customers optimum solutions at all levels right up to system level”, said Artur Grösbrink, Project Manager for LLFY at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. The existing LLFY network will be expanded to include future areas of application. “In this way the partner network will be able to help define future lighting standard and shape the markets”, said Artur Grösbrink.
